Courses and Credits
ProWorld and Jacksonville University's program combines classroom and field studies in Belizean and Mexican history and culture, life sciences, and immersive Spanish, as well as hands-on community service development projects, cross cultural interaction, homestays, and excursions in and around San Ignacio and Oaxaca. 

Guided tours of ruins and traditional festivals compliment the academics and development work.

COURSES & CREDITS

University of Indianapolis accredits the Belize portion of the semester and provides transcripts.  Jacksonville University accredits the Mexico portion of the program and provides transcripts upon successful completion.

Session 1 in San Ignacio, Belize
June 6 to July 4, 6 credits total
Students can choose 2 courses of study for 3 credits each in the following areas:  Animal Science, Anthropology, Biology, Environmental Science, Forensic Anthropology


Session 2 in Oaxaca, Mexico
July 6 to July 25, 6 credits total
Intensive Spanish, 3 credits
Mythology and Folklore in Mexico, 3 credits


Prerequisites
Completion of one year of university studies and one semester of university level Spanish
Minimum of 2.5 GPA
A positive attitude and a will to help 
Semester Credits: 12
Accreditation: University of Indianapolis and Jacksonville University
Language of Instruction: Belize:  English, Mexico: Spanish with English support
