Peru and Mexico Summer Semester
Academics, Service Work, and Adventure
ProWorld and Jacksonville University's program combines classroom and in the field study of Peru and Mexico's culture and history, immersive Spanish, hands-on community service development projects, cross cultural interaction and homestay living, and exploration of Peru and Mexico.
Guided tours of ruins and traditional festivals compliment the academics and development work.
Program Overview
- Intensive group orientations
- 12 semester credits, fees, & transcripts from JU
- Academic classes four to five days a week
- Airport pick up in Cusco and Oaxaca
- Full room and board with a local family
- Intensive Spanish Classes
- Funding of development project
- Visits to Archeologial sites, weekend hikes, and cultural activities
- 24 hour emergency contact on site
- Regular staff check ins and access to ProWorld's offices in Cusco and Oaxaca
