ProBelize Semester Overview
ProBelize and Galen University share in a vision of empowering university students to make valuable contributions in Belize through the study abroad volunteer program. The program offers students a rewarding study abroad experience while contributing to the community through various development projects throughout the country.
 
Professors offer authentic and insightful perspectives into Belizean environment, history and culture. Professors are both Belizean and foreign, English speaking, and highly qualified with the common goal of deepening students' insight and understanding of Belize and the world as a whole.

Community development projects, fieldwork, homestays and adventure activities complement University classes to create an integrated program experience.

The Program Includes:
  • Intensive group orientation
  • 12 Academic Credits, Tuition, Fees, Books, & Transcripts from Galen University
  • Student Visa Fee
  • Airport pick up and drop off at program site
  • All onsite program related transportation
  • Full room and board with a local family
  • Academic courses
  • Group and individual development projects with funding and staff support
  • Visits to archeological sites, weekend adventures, and cultural activities
  • Daily staff and professor support

Program fees do not include: international airfare, passport or visa fees, independent travel during the program, or personal expenses. Program fees may change without notice due to currency exchanges and the unique nature of international travel
