Hands on Health Care in Peru

If you're bored of the same old summer routine, then make a real difference this year with ProWorld's Peru Hands on Health Care program. On top of immersing you in the rich cultural history of the Incas, this program allows you to gain hands on experience in rural health outreach and public health education. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to fix the root of health issues by installing cleaner burning stoves and water filters in community homes. You'll spend weekends exploring ancient Incan ruins, Andean forests, and all the art, music and cultural history that The Sacred Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site, has to offer.

Summer Study Abroad in Belize
Want to make a difference while you earn credits this summer? Then come to Belize with ProWorld. Spend time studying environmental science, Caribbean culture, and Anthropology and then experience all three in person in the jungles of Belize. Plus, you'll be contributing to the local community through meaningful service projects in health care, the environment, or social and economic development depending on your interests.

Summer Study Abroad in Mexico
See the real Mexico, help out, and earn credits in Oaxaca this summer. You'll immerse yourself in the rich cultural history of the Zapotec and Mixtec culture, learn inside and outside the classroom, and work on hands-on development projects. Earn 6 credits in Spanish and Culture and Folklore of Mexico, visit the world renowned Sierra Madre mountain range, and eat your fill of tacos, tortillas, and Oaxaca's famous mole sauce.

Spend a summer in Cusco, Peru, the cultural heart of the Inca empire, and earn US credits while learning about Peru and falling in love with Latin America. This unique program combines academics with local professors with field study of Peru's culture and history, along with small-group Spanish classes tailored to your level, homestay living, cross cultural interaction, and a hands on community service development project aimed at promoting social and economic development and empowering communities. Service project work may include environmental conservation and education, construction, public health campaigns, and micro business projects. For a fully-framed picture of Peruvian culture, students also have a chance to see Incan ruins, explore the Sacred Valley and attend traditional festivals.
