Site Directors are responsible for: full program oversight; management of a team of 3-8; management of project and program budgets; and the development, management, and implementations of participant driven development projects.

The in-country staff team facilitates community projects and the participant experience by developing and managing: effective projects, living arrangements, host families, intercultural experiences, and weekend adventures. Program director positions are contracted for a minimum of one year.

Site Directors must have an undergraduate degree and at least 5 years of professional experience in the field of development work or study abroad. Preference is given to former Peace Corps volunteers and ProWorld alumni.

Project Coordinators are responsible for actively supporting all aspects of the participant experience and community projects. While Project Coordinators are involved in all aspects of the program, each leader often manages one or more major program components such as: projects, community relations, participant activities and adventures, home stay placements, administration and finance.

Each site employs 2-8 project coordinators. Project coordinator positions are contracted for a minimum of six months, with preference given to longer commitments.

Project Coordinators must have an undergraduate degree and at least 2 years of professional experience in the field of development work or study abroad. Preference is given to former Peace Corps volunteers and ProWorld alumni.

Administrative staff manages information flow, finances, day to day home base operations and a myriad of other essential aspects of the ProWorld on-site operations.

Each site employs 1-2 administrative staff. These positions are contracted for a minimum of one year, with preference given to longer commitments.

Project Interns are low paying in the field opportunities for individuals seeking professional experiences supporting our Project Coordinators in the execution of projects and daily on site operations. These placements last from 9-12 months.

Project Interns will be assigned to project portfolios to assist Project Coordinators in project documentation, execution and volunteer placements. Our Project Intern ranks are regularly used as a hiring pool for other positions within ProWorld.


US Office Interns
ProWorld offers unpaid US internship opportunities for individuals seeking to enhance their professional experiences and support international development work.

Office interns work with one of the ProWorld executives at the New York or Seattle Offices. Interns may also work remotely depending on the nature of the internship. Office interns are exposed to multiple facets of international development work and focus on projects in the areas of: grant writing, public relations, marketing, accounting,  and project development.
